The newest member of the team, Dr. Elaine Kelly joined Williams Eye Institute in 2023. Dr. Kelly, a third generation ophthalmologist, practices comprehensive ophthalmology with a focus on cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. Her pending board certification in ophthalmology is expected in late 2024.
Dr. Kelly is a native of northwest Indiana and graduated from Munster High School with Highest Honors in 2010. She attended Duke University and graduated with Distinction in 2014 with a degree in Global Health. Dr. Kelly developed a passion for serving vulnerable populations and went on to receive a Masters of Science in Global Health at Georgetown University in 2015.
Dr. Kelly pursued her medical training in New York where she received her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. She returned to the Midwest to complete her four year ophthalmology residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Kelly has a passion for humanitarian outreach both in her local community and abroad. Her interests outside of medicine include CrossFit, running, and travel.
