A physician of the Williams Eye Institute in Hammond, Indiana since August 1994, Dr. Ann Williams is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in small incision cataract surgery with lens implantation and has performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries.
A Chicagoland native, Dr. Williams graduated with honors (magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa/Bronze Tablet) from the University of Illinois and earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University. She completed her internship at Mercy Hospital in San Diego, California and a three-year residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Williams is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
She also serves as board members for McAuley Clinic supplying healthcare to uninsured residents of Northwest Indiana, and Heart For Africa, a faith-based charity focusing on the needs of children in Africa.
